I never thought I would use this as much as I do! My laptop feels secure in the holder and it hooks firmly and easily into the accessory board to the point where I don't feel the holder is at risk of coming loose or that my device will fall out. I have the 2021 macbook pro and it fits perfectly in this holder. I plug my laptop into my monitor with the Beflo docking station and I've never had issues with either the computer/monitor turning off, despite my laptop remaining closed. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking to increase your desk space and work on a monitor rather than a macbook.
